Stefan Petkovic

Stefan Petkovic was born in Serbia. At the age of nine, he received his first cello lessons.

He attended from 2006 the music high school in Sremska Mitrovica and moved in 2009 to the Music High School in Belgrade. From 2010 he studied at the Leopold Mozart Center of the University of Augsburg in the class of Prof. Julius Berger, where he received both his bachelor's and his master's degree.

Stefan Petkovic is a multiple winner of Serbian music competitions. He also attended numerous master classes for examples with Prof. Valérie Aimard, Prof. Michael Flaksman and Prof. István Várdai. Early on, he gained orchestral experience through various internships at the Theater Augsburg, the Lower Bavarian Philharmonic and the Munich Symphonic Orchestra e.V.

Since September 2018 he is a scholarship holder of the Dual Orchestra Academy Thuringia.
